Megan Thee Stallion the First Rapper to Cover Sports Illustrated 2021 Swimsuit Issue:

Megan Thee Stallion Set To Become the First Rapper To Appear on Cover of 'Sports Illustrated' Swimsuit Issue
Is Sports Illustrated’s 2021 Swimsuit Issue Cover Girl Megan Thee Stallion?

Megan Thee Stallion the First Rapper to Cover Sports Illustrated 2021 Swimsuit Issue:

Big news for Megan Thee Stallion fans: The rapper just released a new swimwear collection-and she posted a video of herself modelling different styles from the line.

As if Megan Thee Stallion needed more proof that she’s a savage.

A source told the “Hot Girl Summer” rapper is poised to be one of the next cover girls for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue this year.

“She’s the biggest star [right now], so it’s a no-brainer and they love surprises,” the source said.

Megan, who regularly kept fans posted on her Hottie Bootcamp sessions this spring, revealed on Instagram on June 23 that her new swimwear collection with Fashion Nova is now available.

"Heavy 🤤 my swim collection with @fashionnova is out now! Head to their website to get these looks 😛( this ass not included 😛)," she wrote in the caption.

While it’s unusual for musicians to grace the cover rather than models, she wouldn’t be the first. Beyoncé has also appeared on the front of the famed issue.

Megan made the announcement next to the video of herself modelling and twerking in several string bikinis from the collection.

The magazine has been teasing its inside-the-book lineup all year.

It will make some history by featuring models like its first transgender model of colour, Leyna Bloom, and Lewis Freese, the brand’s first male candidate to become a finalist in the SI Swim Search, a section where amateur models can try and make it into the famed issue.

COVID nurse Maggie Rawlins is also one of the bikini models.

Megan looks super confident in those bikinis, and no wonder she's been focused on her health and fitness this year.

Megan announced on Instagram in mid-January that she was going on a fitness program she called "Hottie Bootcamp."

A cagey spokesperson first told that they didn’t believe the rapper was a part of the issue before having to take a “meeting with the team.”

After the conference, they explained,

“[The Sports Illustrated team] actually still don’t even know who the cover girl will be. Still undecided. No one will know until the day of the unveiling.”

Reps for Megan would not confirm or deny the rapper’s participation in the issue.

But an industry source told us we should expect to see even more of her in the coming months.

“She’s working on a new album. It makes sense that she would get a huge cover like that,” they said.

Not to mention, Megan, 26, has gotten a lot of practice posing in tiny bikinis for her second swimwear collection for Fashion Nova.

We’ll have to wait and see if her collection will also make its debut on SI’s pages. The magazine will hit stands on July 19.
